WHAT RACE IS BEST FOR MY FAMILY MEMBER?

Event Details

For many, this will be your child’s first running race. Whether new to racing or not, we want it to be a fun and safe experience. This race will be a kid friendly event for boys and girls in preschool through 12th grade, as well as a 5K for grownups! Children 7th grade and up will race as well as volunteer as mentors to guide the younger children through the race course. Many will have experienced Go Far at school, but this event will be open to the public. Kids will decorate race numbers, do a special warm-up, race a timed event with music and lots of people to cheer them on, receive cool awards and have a terrific experience. The race will take place at the famed Durham Fair Grounds and will be closed to traffic.
